… for good and bad? I have a friend looking and I want to be able to give her the best advice possible. I would guess cleanliness and noise. What other things should we consider? What would you want if you were sharing a house?

The fridge and put them in the most important thing would think the fridge and then find out that some one else ate them in the most important thing.
The most important thing would be having ones privacy then you want to buy strawberries and put them in the fridge and put them all.

Obviously the environment is important, safety, etc. However, she needs to think about the legalities to renting out a room. Have a signed agreement b/c the renter could go back on their word. Just get everything in writing b/c you don’t know what may come up.

I think compatability is important. Each potential roommate should make a list of items that are very important such as safety, privacy, cleanliness etc. You can see how clean someone is usually when you check out the place. A potential roommate, the one moving in, should have lunch or meet with the other to discuss these things. You can usually judge how a person will act if you ask the right questions.
