rent room london
Valerie asked:

I’m Bulgarian, 22 years old and I’ve been studying in Germany for the last few years. I’m graduating from university and I’m interested in working in England for a year or two. Even though I could continue studying for a Master’s, I’d prefer to take a break, see how the real life works and figure out what I really want to do with my life. Otherwise I think a Master’s would be a waste of money and time.
First, I want to know about the living costs in London. I know it’s one of the most expensive capitals so I’d like to know how much approx. it’d cost to rent a room (of course cheapest possible but still decent). Would you maybe recommend living outside London and traveling to the city? Where? What would the other min monthly costs be – food, transport, etc.?
And do you think it’s feasible for a foreigner like me to find a job within a month? Of course, I’d like to work something related to my studies (social sciences) but for a start I’d not mind having a job to pay the rent.

Thanks!
