My room mate just told me she found out she has lice. I was checked, and I don’t have lice. Should I use lice shampoo anyway just to be sure?
What do I need to do about common areas like couches, pillows, carpets, etc.? Do these things need to be cleaned, and if so, what do I use? What else needs to be done to resolve this situation as far as cleaning things in my house? I don’t know what kinds of things lice can live on.

I was planning on renting a room for my 18th birthday for one night for maybe 3 friends of mine and myself, but it seems a lot of hotels will only rent to people 21+. Also, if anyone knows of any hotels that will, does it matter if one or more of the people staying in the room with me are under 18? Do they need some type of parental permission at all? The only this is that I am 18 (have a credit card and ID, etc) however my girlfriend is only 17. Is it legal to rent a room together in Canada and if so will I be old enough to rent it?

If I cross that part out about the lease becoming month-to-month or the tennant being allowed 90 days to vacate after the lease expires and I issue a notice of termination, does that no longer apply to the lease?
