I’m thinking of moving to London in the UK. What do you guess the average monthly rent for a room in Zone 2 is?

I was looking at agents like Foxtons etc, but their prices are really high.

Is there a way to find a cheaper flat for rent in London, for example newspaper ads?

What would you suggest?

Thanks in advance.
Is real estate agents the ONLY way to find a flat in London?

Looking For Student Properties In Norwich

Posted by admin on January 16th, 2009

Has anybody got any information about good quality student properties in Norwich UK?  I start at the college soon and require a place to live for 2 years, (or may be longer).  I’ve done a bit of searching and found a great site that has lots of Norwich student properties available but I want to find more agents so I can compare prices etc..  Going rate for a small room seems to be about £230 per month which is all I need really.  An ensuite would be nice but prices seem to get a bit much in that bracket!  So if any of you out there in Norfolk-land, can share with me some sites with Norwich student properties that would be super cool.

I currently live in NYC and have been for the last 18 years. I have had my share of life experiences with renting. Moving to London I am curious to see if people can shed some light as to what to expect and what to stay away from. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I will be looking to spend 200 to 350 a week in and around some trendy / artsy / cosmopolitan type of neighborhood. Thank You

We are relocating to London in January. I’m taking all the necessary steps so that my 10 pound Yorkie can come, too (I have become very familiar with the Pet Travel Scheme). But is it all a waste of time? Will we even find a flat that allows small dogs? I am doing everything I can so that we don’t have to leave him behind, but if we can’t take him I’d rather know now so that I have time to find a good home for him. Is London pet friendly???

Thank you.
