house sharing
Faerifay asked:

in an apartment adjoining the house, sharing the same yard even one year after moving there? Everytime this person comes into the apartment or out in the yard they are on the defence, growling snarling barking, hair up! Yet neighbors or persons making delivery only warrant normal barking that subsides into disinterest. This person has let various things happen to the Chi’s, brings a huge neighbor dog into the yard to “play” with her lab, this dog has attacked the Chi’s and the person laughed, thought it humorous, also has stamped at them, thinking no one has noticed, ******** them with the hose and then acts like they are bad tempered. They are afraid to come out of the doggy dog when the person is there and won’t go into the yard. The person closes the pen around the doggy door so they can’t get out because “the male pees on things” but the person has allowed large malamute males from the neighborhood to roll in dirt and come in the house. And I think they *** too.

Since me n husband got married 2 years ago, we’ve been staying at my brother-in-law’s 2 rooms flat. Now he is getting married next month and wanted to move in to the flat. I’m not sure he is chasing us away by doing that. We can’t say no becos the flat belong to him though we did pay the rent to him every month. I don’t want to share the flat with other ppl. But me n husband has no where to move to. We have not enough money to rent other place. What else can i do besides sharing? My husband says nth as he has no prob with it. By the way, our own house is going to be complete end of the year. Should i just endure with them n stay together till our house completed rather than wasting some more money to rent other places.

Sharing a house with flatmates?

Kate B asked:

I’m wanting to live with 3 other people (random people) in a 4 bedroom house. I will set up the house fully furnished, and I will have the main bedroom and use part of the double garage.

Say it’s a $400 house.
I would pay $110 (since it’s my furniture etc they will be using) one other pays ($130 – who uses the other side of the garage) and 2 others pay $125. Is this a fair split?

I need some house rules to follow by and some questions that will be okay to ask during the interview process – so the house runs smoothly.
I’d love some advice. Any suggestions to make the house run smooth and fair.

How long did it take if you didn’t have one before? Any other truthful answers will be appreciated (best, most thorough answer will get 10 points). Thanks!

I am considering taking a position based over in Abu Dhabi. I was wondering, seeing as it is terribly expensive over there would be more economical to share a property?

I live in a shared flat.
We(4) all have access to the internet via wireless.
Someone last week downloaded 40gb of data (music, film etc)
Is there some way to limit their internet connection speed or bandwidth?
I use a bt homehub router.
Thanks for the quick answers.
Its so much because of limits but more the fact that everyone else is having difficulties access the net at a reasonable speed.

I have lived in 2 flatshares since I arrived and in both places the people that I have rented from would rashen the heat so much it leaves me freezing! The house is even sometimes colder inside than out and most mornings I wake up and can see my breath. I pay a flat rate weekly which includes all bills so they say. So then why am I left to freeze. Is it my fault that these people cant afford to put money on the card for gas???

I think that since I pay my share I should at least have a reasonable amount of heat. I cant even have it on at night because the pipes make a noise in thier room and keeps them up. Then I was told yesterday that me and my partner need to cut back!! I dont even get to use the heat 3 hours a day!

What the heck is wrong with these people?? Is it just a culture thing that I am missing??? Any help??
